Live Music: Brent Martens w/guest Ian Miller

Brent Martens, one of the most sought-after guitarists in Portland, is joined by pedigreed Telecaster specialist Ian Miller, forming a dynamic and whirling guitar duo.

Brent plays lead guitar with Willamette Week’s “Best New Band” Ural Thomas and the Pain, and also sits in regularly on both guitar and upright bass with two-time OR Music Hall of Fame inductee Pete Krebs in Thee Catnip Brothers. His solo style ranges from jazz to blues to bossanova to classics.

Ian Miller brings the swing, honky tonk and a classic Telecaster sound to the table, channeling his encyclopedic knowledge of classic lead guitar lines, perfected through his weekly gigs with the iconic Karaoke From Hell Band.
