Live Music: Jerome Monaco (feat. Brent Martens)

Steeped in soul and jazz from an early age, multi-instrumentalist and singer Jerome Monaco blends these roots with flavors of Brazilian rhythms, American blues, folk and reggae into a style all his own.   Featuring his rich baritone voice and skillful guitar playing,  Jerome’s music is a joyful groove-based romp through original music and well-known favorite tunes.

Joining Pete is guitarist Brent Martens, a sought-after musical collaborator in both live and studio settings.  Brent is best known for playing lead guitar with Willamette Week’s “Best New Band” Ural Thomas & The Pain, alongside many other Portland luminaries, including Oregon Music Hall of Fame double inductee Pete Krebs.
