Live Music: Pete Krebs Duo (feat. Brent Martens)

Pete Krebs is one of Portland’s most-beloved musical chameleons, and one of the few to have headlined both CBGB’s and Preservation Hall. Best-known as the front man for ’90s seminal indie band Hazel, Pete has shared stages with artists as diverse as Elliott Smith, Nirvana and Soundgarden, just to name a few. These days, Pete is busy exploring the vintage realms of old-school swing and honky tonk.

Joining Pete is guitarist Brent Martens, a sought-after musical collaborator in both live and studio settings.  Brent is best known for playing lead guitar with Willamette Week’s “Best New Band” Ural Thomas & The Pain, alongside many other Portland luminaries.
